Welcome to Windsor Place of Iola.  We appreciate you looking at our website.  We are very proud of our home.  I have been the administrator since April of 2005.  We have a good team of managers and staff to take care of our loved ones.  A couple of highlights of our home are:

1. Short Term stay.  We have a wing called Home Again.  It is for people who are here for therapy—usually after a surgery.  Medicare Part A benefits are used to pay for the stay.  Close to 40 % of our residents come to us for a short time and then return back to their homes or assist living homes.  While here there is a private dining room and private rooms to stay in.
2. Long Term Stay—we have private and semi-private rooms for long term stay residents.  Of course all the cooking, cleaning, laundry is included.  We have a long list of activities that we offer to entertain, involve, and develop people.  Our dining experience involves an open dining for breakfast with menu items.  Everything cooked to order.  Our other two meals are menu items and everyone can choose between two entrees, vegetables, and desserts.  We also have a snack shack that you can eat snacks 24-7.  We also cook for specialized diets.
3. USD Pre-school—We have a pre-school in our building.  August to May we have children interacting with our residents as much or as little as the residents wish.  The kids and residents help with exercising of the mind and body.  We are very proud of the success of this program.  There is nothing like little kids to bring the best out in all of us!
4. Animals—we really enjoy our pets here.  WE have a wonderful dog named Patches who is just a part of us.  She is joined by four lovely cats who enjoy cuddling up on a bed and sleeping the day away.  You never know who a cat will pair up with.  We also have birds and fish.
5. Church Activities—we have church on Thursday mornings, with different pastors coming and giving the service.  Tuesdays we have Bible Study and Sundays we have church and hymn singing.  We also have a yearly revival service for a couple of nights.

We invite you to come and visit us.  Windsor Place is a good place to be.  You will not find friendlier staff or more caring people to care for your loved one.
