Welcome to Windsor Place of Iola where we offer you a warm, loving home and caring people to take care of your loved one. We know it is a hard decision to make this transition, and we have a team of people to help--not only your loved one, but everyone in the family involved.
Please look at the programs we offer. Call us with any questions you may have. Mostly we would love to meet you in person and tour you around.
I believe you will be pleasantly surprised in what you see.
Activities at Windsor Place Iola are diverse. We have many activities with school age children. The middle school brings a class in weekly and the kids have one-on-one time with their special resident. Checkers, puzzles, walks outside, sports talk, etc., all takes place to the enjoyment of all involved. We enjoy groups of children who come in after school. We have children who just drop in to visit on their own time.
There would not be a nursing home around without Bingo and we are no exception. We have Bingo on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Each month we have special music from Heaven’s Harmony, Lynn Oliphant,
Cowboy Cliff, etc. We sing and dance and listen and enjoy.
We enjoy religious activities such as Revivals, Bible studies, Church services.
Celebrations take place all the time. We enjoy the regular holidays such as Valentines Day, Easter, 4th of July, Veterans Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We also celebrate LIFE, we celebrate birthdays and baby showers, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, proms, etc.
At any given time as you walk our halls, you will find residents and staff enjoying a laugh, a snack, working a puzzle, or just spending time remembering life. You may see a group of us out for a walk to find the first dandelion, we plant flowers and vegetables and watch them grow and weed them. You never know what will be going on at Windsor Place, but one thing is for sure, you will not be bored here, we will not only occupy your time, but your soul!
